Anastasia Schemkes (she/her) is a Senior Consultant and licensed Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion Practitioner with Holistic Underground. She’s also a certified Life and Leadership Coach by the Academy for Coaching Excellence.

Anastasia brings to her consulting and coaching fifteen years of experience directing campaigns for climate, racial, and social justice, and mentoring leaders within grassroots movements. This includes a decade at Sierra Club as the Campaign Director of the youth branch, Sierra Student Coalition. Anastasia founded and directs a coaching business that empowers social change leaders and organizations to do impactful, strategic work in a way that honors their bodies, relationships, and vision for healing and justice in the world. She’s logged more than 1000 hours coaching leaders, leading trainings, and directing programs for non-profit organizations and socially conscious companies. Anastasia also directs public group programs for white folks to shift internalized biases of white feminism or white supremacy culture, and to take action for justice and equity in their communities and workplaces.

Anastasia identifies as a white, queer, woman. She lives in Seattle, WA, traditional land of the Duwamish and Coast Salish peoples. When she's not consulting, you can find her making pottery in her studio and exploring the rainforests of western WA, often with a book in tow.
